This happened to me too many times as a mount collector. You can try posting in the bugs section on the official forums, but the chances of it being fixed are slim.

@StealthClaw: I bought mine from a guy right after he got it from gach, no way it was duped.

I had this happen a few years ago to my pink teddy balloon. I was under the impression that if the mount is duped it disappears randomly. That said I have no proof that the first teddy balloon I bought was duped, but the second one I got from someone who got it from gach (was gach smega'd so I knew for sure) and it's been several years now with no problems.

Omg, same thing happened to me ( the rabbit mount ) ! I contacted customer support and all they said was " We are sorry but there is nothing we can do at this time " RIP my rabbit mount TT^TT

Not to be rude, but it seems like you really didn't read it.. He clearly said he bought it last night, regardless of the mount type, it shouldn't of disappeared.

That actually happened to me with the smaller mount too.. Thought I was going crazy

Mine wasn't recent at all, happened like 2 and a half years ago. I had this happen to a blue transformer mount thing, and the other was a rabbit mount, I am not sure on the name of it, but it's the one where the smaller rabbit carries you around on its back.

I had the same thing happen with the same mount a couple months back too.
