Maplestory 2 Population
Now we all know how maplestory the original was popular in its old days. Some of you were still kids back then and enjoyed the game because of it's sillier aspects, it's adventure based style, or it's more magic and fantasy type mmorpg. The fact that in that time, many of you played the game as kids, preteens, or teenagers suggested that maplestory got it's selected audience, but people strayed away after a while due to it's high leveling curve, drastic changes, or just growing up in general and how the game didn't evolve with the more advanced 3d games coming out such as League. Now, some of us still stayed. I think maplestory 2 has the same aspects and feelings that maplestory the original had for the older generation for this generation. I'm only 15, so I understand how alot of the people in my school think maplestory is stupid and they think it's old and childish. But for maplestory 2, since it's 3d and if the game mechanics are good I think it will draw newer players from this generation, which is what maplestory the original desperately needs. Maplestory 1 just gets players to replace the quitting players from returning players. They're not that many new players in maplestory anymore. Maplestory 2 will finally get new players if they advertise it right and attract the people that played maplestory the original before into maplestory 2, because I'm pretty sure alot of the ppl who quit have no idea what maple 2 is. The old maplestory veterans might now like maplestory 2 but some of the other people might, and let's face it, Maplestory makes alot of money and they can advertise if they want too.

@xxSab: What reasons do you have other than the graphics. Even though I personally think that's just an excuse and people just hate the game due to the fact it's different than MS1. No one likes change at all. Especially the nostalgia freaks that can't move on from prebb MS. You even stated you play MS due to the fact it's 2d. Which means it's about the graphics. Lmao.

Let's face it though the current MS is starting to be stale. Regardless how much you love the 2d game it's getting stale by now. Many of you even said the game is dying and that it sucks. Now you're backing it up just because there's a 3D MS coming out? There's really not much Nexon can do to make the current MS anymore enjoyable then it was before. It hit it's peak in 2008 and started to decline then. They tried doing multitude of things to the game to bring players in. It didn't help as much. Part of the reason was due to Nexon stupidity and others were due to hackers. Either way it's time for something fresh now. The new MS is going bring a lot of new life to the game regardless of how the graphics look like. No one can deny the fact that all the stuff MS2 showed right now is a lot more content that MS1 has atm.[/quote]

I'm going to play it for sure because I like when everything is new and there is so much to explore and learn. Also people seem to be on more even playing fields as far as damage I'm hoping too that similar to classic ms, a lot of things will require team work (not the social aspect as I wont be looking to make online friends) but the game is just more fun sometimes when you aren't in a map alone grinding all day. Some classic stuff like KPQ.
