BaMs are currently so dumb tbh, so much skill delay, so much struggles... Its super hard to train effectively and even more so to boss... there's literally only 1 skill that you can "spam" attack (finishing blow) and its not even that strong. But the thing that really kills it for me is the terrible tele distance and the incredibly noticeable skill delays when trying to use combo attacks and stuff.

theyre quite good with great mobility, utility and damage specially in early levels if ure starting maple theres this system that spawns strong monsters often while youre training, gotta mention many classes have it difficult on them but bams kick ass (even on elites <3)
only thing is that we are balanced for current game and people often compares our late game bossing with classes that excel on it(in an overpowered and broken sense) so we might look bad in that subject but it wont matter because nexon is making a load of balances changes that we should be getting around winter so there wont be rly no point in picking "strong classes" over whatever u feel like playing

Best class imo. Got hp, got leech skill, got 100% powerstance, got aoe, got single target, got teleport, can cure seduce
More utility and damage potential than any other class

we suck nexon hates us, everyone that isnt a die hard BaM fan is quitting for other mages.
if you can get past that and join the church of BaM you will realise we hv potential to be strongest mage still. (just requires alot more skill and heavy( really heavy) funding (especially considering upcomming nerfs)

Try it if you want. There's no reason you can't have multiple characters you enjoy. Test out the class and if you like it, keep it. Move all the stuff off it and delete it.

Downloaded ms again a week ago, trying BaM for the first time and got to say I enjoy it very much! Damage is satisfying with trash gear and I rarely need to use pots.

OT: Battle mages style is that there aren't a variety of skills each job is the same just a bit stronger, that's what I like, but if you're looking for more variation start off with Xenon or something like that
i don't recommend zero becaues they start in a different world and imo you should start with maple world first

I personally enjoy it since its more mobile w/ its move set especially If u enjoy db, jett, zero, or merc. But seeing as you are just starting out, other classes are more beginner friendly.

I enjoy mine. However, there are definitely better classes.

as a Bam Main, I'd say no. Demon Avenger/Wild Hunter are MUCH better.
