Maple on Mac
Hello, I've just decided to return to Maple again but unfortunately, my Windows Laptop broke. I've been trying to fix it for the past days but nothing has been working. I've been considering playing Maple on my MacBook through Boot Camp, but I'm still not sure how well it runs or if it even works at all (the previous posts I've seen on this topic were ~1 year ago). Does anyone play on Mac or know anyone that does? I don't wanna go and purchase Windows and go through the entire process only for it to not work If you know the specs of how much to partition the memory in boot camp, that'd be great too. Thanks

@mikul: You don't have to bother with bootcamp at all. When you start Parallels, you'll be prompted to create a partition. It'll ask you to browse for the .iso file your windows OS is on
@mikul you won't lag with 8GB of memory. I run maple via parallels 9 for mac on my 2012 macbook pro 8gb ram and it's amazing. It's really easy to expand the partition so just make it like 20gb for now and expand it if you need. I also use winxp to play maple
I've been watching videos on Parallels and apparently you ca install windows via parallels but when I watched the tutorial, it doesn't show anyone making the partition in parallels. Do you know if you have to do bootcamp first and then parallels?
Two problems with you giving your laptop specs:
-While you giving us your computer specs is helpful, the context in which you gave the specs makes it seem like you were showing off.
-In the midst of you showing off your mac specs you didn't even tell us how big of a hard drive you have, nor did you tell us if you have a mechanical drive or an HDD. So what is it?
this guy mad he playing on a lenovo he got for like 200 bucks. LOL
Thanks! I was just gonna go buy a Windows 7 or 8 installation disc or something. I don't really trust the ones the torrented ones
I downloaded windows 7 and 8 into the disk both works perfectly fine.

@Steven522: eyy i see... if u want to run with min lag get 8gb of ram...it's not that expensive but since i did that, Maplestory doesn't really lag anymore
@mikul: In that case I think 60 GB is perfectly fine for what you need. Maplestory and Mabinogi won't take up that much space and you will still have room to play some PC exclusives.
Good luck!
Thanks for your input!
@mikul: Sorry about calling you out like that. Are you looking to play a lot of MMOs on your laptop? Or will you be playing exclusively Mabi and Maple?
It's ok I'd probably just be playing Maple and Mabi through bootcamp. I have league on my mac so I will probably just leave it on the Mac OS.

Lol I don't know a lot of information on computers, I literally just went to "About This Mac" and read specs. I'm sorry if that seemed to be showing off? :l Anyways I think it's a 750gb hard drive? It says I have about 690gb free of 748gb
Alright thanks. Still unsure if I want to do it though.. I plan to also install Mabinogi too so I'm assuming I'd need to make the partition maybe 60gb? I have a 13 inch 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB Memory.
I was being a cheap ass with HDD space and used only 20gb and when I tried to update maple, it didnt work cus I didnt have enough. I would use 30gb minimum to be safe.
