Death Mark

Is it just me, or is there not a single situation in which this skill is worth using? Is it situational and useful in some certain instance? It just seems useless to me.

Also, are Fire Fox Spirit hyper skills worth raising at all?

Yeah as everyone else said it doesn't allow you to ignore dr although it pretty much will heal you for all your health every second or so while its up. Pretty much your best friend in any boss with a potion cd.
^^^ is that how Death Mark can be used? Because when I use DM just 1 or 2 second before the boss activate it DR, the boss can still activate DR. I thought DM is ony good for you to heal in area bosses such as Magnus or Empress. I tried to use DM on Hilla when she activate DR, but I didn't get reflect by her.
Very likely what you're doing is seeing them cast the Damage Reflect skill, going "oh s***" and trying to hit them with Death Mark in an attempt to beat it. That won't work. Once they've begun casting the skill, it will apply. It's very similar to how you will be fighting a boss, then suddenly stop attacking... and 2 seconds later, you have the seal effect over your head. The animation and data are there, but the moment the skill begins casting, it's effect will happen. The skill being cast itself is just an indicator. They do at the very least give players the luxury of allowing the animation to end before the damage reflect applies to their attacks, so they can see it and stop attacking. It also reads that, if the DR effect icon has not appeared before your last attack, even if the attack is slow (like a Mechanic's Homing Beacon), it won't trigger DR if it hits (unless you fired the missile after the DR icon appeared).

Anyways, you need to hit with Death Mark before they even start casting their Damage Reflect skill. Otherwise, it will fail.

So can you use DM while reflect is on, or no?
If you use it when DR is on, you will get hit. If you use it before and the damage is ticking, you won't get hurt. All your other attacks (Spirit Claw, etc.) will still be affected by DR.
So, what you essentially want to do is something like using Bind on the boss to completely immobilize them, then, as the boss is about to be released from the bind effect, nail them with Death Mark to prevent them from activating Damage Reflect while they can fight... or, if you know when the boss would activate DR (IE: the "bosses" in Beast of Fury all activate DR abilities at certain health marks), you can anticipate it and hit with DM to prevent it, then Bind when the effect runs out.
Ah, understood. Too bad the cooldown is so long...

And I need a piece of advice, how many mobs do I need to be sitting with bomb punch in order for it to be more useless than spirit claw? I think 4 isn't enough so is 5? 6? Mostly doing SH.
Fire Fox Spirit increases your DPS on whatever you're killing so yes, it's useful to raise because the hypers increase the chance to activate as well as adding an extra ball. And I don't understand what you mean by how many mobs for Bomb Punch to be more useless. In any case, as long as you're hitting 4 or more, assuming you're 1 shotting, it will always be more useful than Spirit Claw, since Spirit Claw only hits 3 monsters.

Well I mean, If you can kill the mobs at sdh with a full rotation of bomb punch then choose that one over spirit claw. Spirit claw is just more useful so you can one shot.

Death Mark is helpful when doing bosses with cool downs on your potions, as it basically keeps your health topped off for the 15 sec duration.
