Reboot: Professions Help
I'm making plans for reboot. The whole profession thing came out while I was taking a break, and I never really got into it, so I'm trying to do research. I definitely will need 100 diligence, so I'll need alchemy or smithing or both. I'm guessing smithing and bossing will be the main ways to get cubes. And alchemy will be the main way to get superior item crystals for the cubes.
They said trades are going to be disabled, but I'm assuming I can still transfer things through storage. If that's possible, or even drop trade from a mule, then I can go with both smithing and alchemy. Get alchemy up to 6, for extracting, then max smithing, and in a couple months, have 100 diligence.
If I can't transfer through storage, then I'll have to get alchemy on my mule and make extractors, or wait for someone else to set up an extractor. And I'll just go smithing and mining.
Am I missing anything? Is there a reason I shouldn't go alchemy and smithing?

@syncrinity the only difference would be the people who can stay on for many hours and farm mesos to buy the cubes from the potion shop. And yes you can buy cubes from the potion shop. I think it's a bad thing...
@fradddd: I really don't understand why they would keep the potential system but get rid of the scrolling system. I mean, if everything is meso based anyway, what difference would that actually make?

They sell cubes in pot shops, so I guess that's the only way you upgrade equips.

This should be a lot of fun! It's going to add extra challenge to the game while keeping it non pay-to-win. I believe all methods of scrolling have been removed. All EQUIPMENT movement has been removed. You CANNOT trade EVER. Storage, however, works for things like potions, mesos, etc. I am very hyped and if anyone wants to join the Reboot crew let me know! I plan on making a guild and have a list of people with all of their original character names. I am currently trying to decide on names for the guild but am open to just about anything.
@chaosh: There's star force, no slots at all. and I doubt we'll get any good nebs.
Equipments are completely untradable, exactly to force every character to start from basically nothing (you can still transfer everything else, so potions or crafting materials won't be a issue at least) and, indeed, no spell tracing at all. I'm fairly sure ALL scrolling, except for special scrolls (like potential scrolls), are removed/blocked, so no star force (RIP Tyrants) or Gollux scrolls (well, KMS doesn't have Gollux, but I wouldn't be surprised if Reboot removed slots from equipment entirely) either. The only way you can upgrade your equipment are cubes.
KMS doesn't have Nebulites, but GMS doesn't have 'aditional options' either, and considering it was removed from Reboot in KMS (despite not being a pay to win feature like Nebulites), I'm fairly certian Nebulites will be gone too (not sure why they even exist in the main servers, anyways).

It says you can use storage for everything but equips.
It's a separate server, so you don't need to worry. @xxmchelfxx Are you sure storage is restricted? I thought I saw different.
You can be all 5 professions
You can't craft cubes
You can't put equips in storage or drop (well, you can probably drop, but only into oblivion)
You can't make extractors
