regarding the current ingame time
I just now read this on the maplestory website - http://maplestory.nexon.net/news/18598/maple-memo-global-migration-complete
And it says that the server time has been changed from PST to UTC. It also says that they will be attempting to adjust current, and future content due to the time differences.
For those that don't know this means that "reset" will actually happen at 4pm PST(that's 7pm EST) instead of midnight PST(that is 3am EST)

Hopefully this pulls through http://forums.maplestory.nexon.net/discussion/4197/game-server-time-changes/p7 I personally can't stand this change as it makes me miss both 2x and day change happens right in the middle of when I typically do my dailies.
Obviously this is different for everyone, so go vote for the one you want. But in my opinion the best option is to make NA servers PST and EU servers use CET. There is no reason to blanket change server times for both to UTC just to convenience the coders but not the players, assuming that's the reason they changed it. And knowing Nexon, it most likely is.
