maplestorys internet usage?

I was wondering how what's the download rate for playing maple per hour/sec.
Last month's internet usage maxed and I wasn't able to play for a week </3
Internet has a max of 80 gigs per month...
how much would maple take up? o.o

Do you watch a lot of Youtube or Twitch/other live streams? Those really use up A LOT of data. Maple really doesn't use that much.
You shouldn't worry about using bandwidth when playing any video game online. They hardly take up much bandwidth and it's barely noticeable. Perhaps you should read some FAQs about bandwidth and learn more about the subject.
A few years ago I played Combat Arms for many hours, back then we only had like 10-15gb a month. iirc CA had around 100mb/hr of pure gameplay, nowadays it wouldn't seem as much but just saying, not all games share the same amount of bandwidth usage
@Myrlona: i have optimum, do you know how i can check my data usage? LOL
You're fine, Optimum is either unlimited or has a very high cap. When I got a new computer I downloaded like 600 GB of games/anime/programs in that first month and nothing happened.

I've used my phone's internet (which has data sense, tracks down how many mb you've used) and in around 2 hours of half-training and half-pyramid PQing, I've used around 16mb in total.

So ~8-10mb/hr, that's just me though

As was mentioned, Maplestory uses very little Internet bandwidth.
The real culprits when going over a monthly cap are streaming videos, downloads, torrenting and anything that uses lots of data like watching TV over the Internet.
If there 's anyone jn the house who does any of these things frequently, that's where the cap is being reached, not Maplestory.

Also as mentioned, Google "bandwidth monitor" to find apps you can use to see exactly how much bandwidth a program uses.

Your router might have a feature that allows you to monitor bandwidth. No need to download any third party software.

In July I hit my limit after I downloaded 5 seasons of HIMYM, plus whatever youtubing/browsing anyone else in my family did during the month. With Rogers (or at least my plan) every GB used past our limit is an extra $2. To not cost my family any more than I needed to, I decided to keep track of my online usage, and I found out that leaving maple on for a week straight doesn't even come close to 1 GB. Keep in mind I mostly spent my time af.king in my shop/doing absolute ring shenani.gans, but you should be fine.

maplestory actually uses very little bandwidth. i had this problem before, so i switched to bell.
wtf? how do you know how much you're limited to? o.o
Ehh, simply put you need to know your information from your service provider. I find that Americans usually have Unlimited Internet usage ( a good portion of them) while Canadians usually have limited ones.

My god, that sounds horrible. If I could, I'd share my (seemingly) unlimited bandwidth with all of you. ;_;

Only 80gb per month? I can barely keep under 250gb per month.

Maplestory doesn't take up alot.

I doubt it would ever hit 1 gig of data in a month. Excluding patches.

@Myrlona: I've very thoroughly tracked the usage manually and found that it only takes around 20-30MB per hour. The more things going on (Ex: free market or lots of bossing) the higher it will be.

Hey there, I had 60GB per month at one time but even playing Maplestory all the time didn't run it higher. Do you have any family members on their wifi devices or computers? They could be downloading and streaming causing you to lose bandwith at a fast rate of speed.
