how do u summon a familiar? old ms u open up ur maplebook and click on it but they dont have that anymore so how do i brg it out and whats the default key to press to brg it out?

to use monster book on secondary keys, u must use basic key settings and change the layout to secondary keys manually.

@hualicious: yesterday i still had to use the taskmaanger to quit the game. Slow and Dirty i am affraid. But is the quit button back in town ? I sure hope so.
@nat244: Ok good you did that. So you don't like the UI, but that's just an opinion then, but nothing to do with the actual glitch.
@gekkegerrit: It has been a week now. Did you play Maple and how did you relog?
i still cant find the "quit " key anywhere in the several menu's.......

@hualicious: ya i used basic key settings but build my the layout like im using secondary keys. only thing about this i dont like is when i look at my UI, it doesnt look great
@nat244: I see what you mean now. It looks like 2 buttons are from the old keyboard UI, the buttons Monster Book and Tot's Know How. These 2 buttons have the old orange color.
So the buttons are available in
Basic Key Settings: Monster Book + Tot's Know How
Secondary Key Settings: Tot's Know How
However if you clear the entire keyboard or remove the buttons off the keyboard then you can only get it back by using the Default button.
The Basic and Second Key Settings is really nothing, it is just a preset. As of right now these 2 buttons are glitched. But you aren't obliged to use the Second Key Settings preset.
On all my newly created characters I choose Secondary Key Settings and I remove most of the buttons I don't use. It doesn't really matter to me if I did that on a Basic or Second Key Settings, in the end it is still the same. After all it is still the same keyboard the buttons are just put on different locations on the keyboard.
I picked Second Key Settings because on default 9 buttons are already off, compared to 5 buttons on Basic Key Settings, so for me it is less buttons to remove. I don't use the buttons that are off on default. On my keybard there are only 2 buttons on the default buttons (excluding the Expression faces), all the other buttons are removed or moved to a different location. And no, I don't use Basic Key Settings, eventhough I do have the buttons is because I had them already before the patch. If I remove them I will have to recover it by using Default button as well or cancel to go back to my previous settings.
So we all know this is a glitch, however you can just choose Basic Key Settings and build your setup like you did with your Second Key Settings, so it's no difference. It's just something you will have to do while it is still glitched.

Well, then double click your codex in your equipment window. This will also open your monster book.
Submit a ticket about the secondary key setup glitch.

Monsterbook disappears if you select clear all or take it off key bindings, set to default to recover it or double click mobs available
The buttons are still there for me. If you can't find yours try to reset your keyboard settings.
idk what the default key is, but press the key and you should be able to hunt the "monster book" key down and put it on a hot key.
Then press the familiar tab on the left and select your familiar.
