Is there a way to turn off the joypad function?

Hi guys!

I have tried to attach my ps3 controller to the PC to run some maple. The joystick programs implemented in the game is horrible, so i decided to try a third party program. This is where the problem came, whenever i use the Ps3 controller to do something, maplestory detects it before my other program. This kind of annoyed me, so i came here to see if anyone know how to turn it off
