I think when you can kill hellux for your own pendants and scroll them yourself is the time to switch. At that point you can sell off your reinforced set and use the meso for cubes.
superior has more retail value (perf reinforced pendant ? u srs bro).
If you have the funds to perfect a gollux equip with the gollux scrolls (enuf coins, enuf clean slates), then you must must must use it on the superior (ring is an exception... ish).
Damage-wise, you're not missing too much if you're just gonna wear them clean.
id say when most of your equips are unique and % 15-12 main stat. im still using reinforced at epic 6-12% and 190k range unbuffed.
There won't be that much of a significant boost assuming you get the same %s on both equips.
Superior only beats Reinforced due to extra stats and attack.
Unless you are going for top tier equips, just stick with Reinforced... Superior Pentdants are too expensive
