@noblequality I don't really share my designs - before I make the character in Maple - with strangers; only friends. But I do have a quick mockup I made for someone a couple years ago to support what I was explaining. All I remember is that I think they wanted that suspender shirt + those wings. I made this image to show a light and dark example. Both have no shoes because it was just a quick mockup.

The first one's simple due to the limited palette but is effective with drawing focus to the eye colour (I think I used male eyes, oops). The wings repeat a matching hue from the eyes and add interest in the design if compared to omitting the wings.

The 2nd character's colouring is very delicate (still using the wings the basilier wanted) and the focal point is more difficult to pick out. This look was created to show colour harmony. However, I believe the solid hair colour draws the eye up towards the head and the contrast between the eyelashes and clarity of the skin draw the focus towards the face.

I would share another one but private messaging on Basil doesn't seem to be working and I would rather keep my designs to myself to avoid plagiarism before I choose to make them. =/ Don't pay any attention to my characters on Basil. They're old and outdated. I've recently started gathering cash items and making perm characters.

If you want to use that hair colour, my greatest luck to you in finding pinks to match. MapleStory/BannedStory tends to use cool/purple pinks for clothing most of the time rather than the creamy/strawberry/lolly one you've chosen. I don't think I've even seen warm pink eyes; they're all a saturated magenta or some kind of cool pink. I had a brief look through BannedStory but didn't find much pink clothing for males that would suit that hair colour; however, you may want to try out the Baby Pink Pants as a starting point if males can wear them. Also, play around with the skin; sometimes cooling down/warming up a look with the skin works better than your original choice.

i was thinking bright eyes, to match with the cute style. it's a royal style though, so i'm not sure if you'd accept this answer.

@eonangel could you gave me an example of one of your character design? I tried changing the eye color to a color i haven't used it did stand out more, but it ruins the point of my Pink theme. xD

@noblequality I personally think there's nothing special about it. Your design needs a focal point for the eye to find immediately. Currently, the focal point's range is too big - spanning the area of the hair and rabbit - and the monochromatic colours blend in too much.
What I like to do for my own designs is to make the eyes the centre of attention, usually a brighter hue or a colour that I haven't used (or minimally used). You could also make your hair the focus instead. The outfit should complement the wearer instead of taking up attention; fortunately, the jacket you've used isn't distracting.
Also, play around with skin tones. If you find your character looks too warm or too pale, change it. Skin can also be changed if you find your design blurs together too much, eg use pale skin to bring out the eyes more. However, pink overgrown looks nice with light skin as they're both warm coloured.

This is purely my opinion and way of doing things so you don't have to follow my advice if you would rather just do your own thing. Though I would strongly recommend to give it a try as it's produced beautiful results for me.

Ooh I see. If only there were matching bottoms and shoes huh. Did you try white bottoms or shoes too or did you want to stick with only pink? & np np

@renni ahh the bottom i actually using "UnderPants" and am using "Transparent Shoes", i tried pink colored theme bottoms and shoes like pink bean slipper, etc but just doesn't go well. And thanks for the suggestion on the bright eyes!

Looks good. I personally would prefer if there were bottom & shoes tho.

And people are saying the eyes don't match because the design is cute but the eyes are "cool" so it kinda collides. I would recommend bright eyes but...idk, it's used a lot so you'll look like a bunch of other people. If you're fine with that, then go for it, but if you want to be unique then try something else (idk other eye style names too well).

Edit: If you can somehow make the design look "cooler" then the eyes can stay. But I'm not sure if cool is the look you're going for. xD

I like it. Love character designs that involve a good matching of a single color.
