dex base class pirate vs Wa

Hello guys,

during the week i've tried evey bowman class and decide that i prefer the WindArcher of all,
i want to make a DEx base class cuz i have no funding (3-5B) ad DEX is cheap atm!
so before i choose Windarcher, I would like you to compare it to other DEX base class like pirate corsair, jett, cannoneer,,etc. (NOT AngelicBuster i hate her)

Wind Archer. I'm not being biased because realistically speaking, Wind Archers are probably the best class to fund out of the other class choices that you listed. A big downside is that we burn quite a bit of pots despite having a 60% dodge rate.

Well don't completely rule out the classes just because I don't like them. They all have their good points and their bad points, which some people might find fun, whereas others might find them boring. I can understand someone liking Mercs because they use lots of different skills to deal damage and move around a lot, but I don't like them. Alternatively, maybe someone who actually knows how to use the Wings skill correctly really enjoys Sairs, but they just didn't appeal to me. I suggest you try them out for yourself if you haven't already, maybe try some regular training, some bossing, and maybe some pqing on all your characters. Only you can truly know what your favorite class will be. Good luck

I've never played Mech or WH and my WA and Merc are only lvl 12x. As for the others:
Sairs disappointed me hugely. The mob skills are obnoxiously short ranged and the class isn't bulky enough to justify short ranged mob skills, especially with lag times as long as Easton. Bossing is better, though No-Cooldown Headshot is better dps-wise than Rapid Fire, which means skills like the Sair version of Final Attack is basically useless. Wings is a fun skill and Recoil shot is much better than it used to be since you can spam it now, but I found that my cannoneer did the whole "shoot yourself into the air and zoom around the map" thing better.
Jetts are fun but not good. I mainly say this because of a 3rd job skill they have that shoots them forward a long distance. You can angle it up and down too so it's a very fun and useful skill in terms of getting yourself around the map, though it's a bit difficult to control and without much funding, you can't use it for hunting. Other than that, Jett skills are pretty disappointing. They look nice, but for the most part they're ineffective. The main 4th job mobbing skill is similar to the Xenon Beam Dance skill except it stops on its own, has much worse range (it doesn't even hit behind you even though it really looks like it should), and you can't jump with it. In terms of actual training, Jetts are pretty terrible. They're a lot better at bossing, since Starforce Salvo and their lvl 170 hyper skill are really designed for that. I really like my Jett, but to be honest, she's mostly just good for being flashy and unique. I wouldn't recommend Jett for you, since aside from their bossing skills, Jetts are not a ranged class.
Bowmasters are a wonderful class. Hookshot is fun, if not all that useful aside from its passive effect. Arrow Blaster is one of the best skills in the game, especially since you can set it down for stuff like Gollux. Their mobbing abilities are pretty underrated, since they're much much better than they used to be, and Arrow Stream has a pretty large vertical range. BMs also get Drain, though keeping it active can be a bit of a pain, so their survivability isn't as bad as it's made out to be.
Marksmen are alright. My first lvl 200 was my Marksman, so naturally she's also my weakest (just by nature of moving on to other classes and sort of forgetting about her), so my opinion of the class is a bit biased. I lvled her up back when playing Marksmen was a huge pain, and it's a lot different now. Piercing Arrow is a great attack, since it gets stronger the more enemies it pierces. If I pierce 4 or 5 monsters, mine hits around 600-800k per line, and my marksman only has somewhere around 40k range at the moment. Snipe is great too, though it was definitely better when it hit 9 times as opposed to the single shot it hits now. The single shot is stronger than each of the 9 lines of course, and as a whole I think it adds up to a buff, as long as you wouldn't have been hitting max with each hit of the previous Snipe. Anyway, no cooldown Snipe is great for bossing and Marksmen have a very unique mechanic in that the further they are from a monster, the stronger they'll be. Also, each attack forms a shield that absorbs 60% of the damage taken, which is pretty useful when training, though if you lag or stop for a bit you'll get hit by some full powered hits from monsters, which can be jarring.
My far-from expert opinion on Mercs is that they're pretty terrible. The survivability is atrocious, the attacks get annoying and take up a lot of keys, and they can't mob easily at high-hp monsters like SDH mobs. Up sides include iframes while using certain skills, a spammable move that makes you jump in the air, which helps with avoiding monsters, and the constant +10/15% exp buff from your Link Skill. Overall not my kind of class tbh, I think the ears and bowguns are ugly, and while you can get rid of the pointy ears and cover the bowguns, I haven't felt enough love for the class to buy the nx for that. Sorry Raesail, you're one of my least favorite characters.
WAs are probably one of the best bowman classes, though they can't move while using their Hurricane skill and they don't have hypers for SE, so if you're using your WA and partying with an Explorer bowmen, their SE is probably better. Their Hurricane Skill (the name escapes me, something like Sky Song) also hits more than one monster in a bit of a chain, which is useful. Also that first job skill that shoots you forward is just really great for moving horizontally.
My experience with the Resistance classes only lasts til lvl 20 or so, so I won't try to form an opinion on them. The Jaguar looks cool though, not a fan of the garbage can.

Cannon is STR-based (sadly)

Depends on what you're looking for. I play Jett only for the aesthetics (damage is still not on-par with other classes), while I play Mechanic for fun. If you're really looking for damage, I'd say go with Wind Archer.
