Keyboard Problem Cuts out randomly, gets quotstuckquot

I was hoping someone on basil might be able to help me with some weird problems I've had when playing maple on my girlfriend's laptop. Let me begin by saying that these problems [b]ONLY[/b] occur while playing maple. In addition, the problem persists when a different keyboard is substituted.

The first problem is that the keyboard randomly just stops working. As you can imagine, this is very bad. It seems like it always happens when fighting a boss or something important. Whether this is just superstition or has something to do with holding down certain keys remains to be seen. The only solution is to unplug the keyboard, heal myself with the laptop keys (always an adventure as laptop keyboards are so inconveniently placed), and then replug it in. This sometimes works.

A second problem is that a key gets "stuck", causing an action such as walking in one direction or attacking to be repeated until the keyboard is unplugged. Although this problem is slightly less dangerous than the above one and gives me an excuse to spam my bl, it can still be quite annoying at times.

Lastly, some keys just don't work in a chatting situation. I am unable to type some symbols such as ?,<,> in maple even though I can type them outside of maple just fine.

I'd appreciate if anyone had any solution regarding any of these problems, otherwise I might have to do normal stuff while waiting on my girlfriend, like watch tv, or worse, try talking to her non-english speaking parents.
