Any advice on killing hard gollux?

I almost killed him once today but I d/c when his jaw is at 20% hp.

I have maybe 500k buffed and 150% boss damage at the moment. What I've been doing is killing the abs and then using trinity when gollux faces the other direction. if gollux turns to face me i just drill behind him. when his eyes light up i drill behind him. my issue is that i keep getting hit in the process if im ever caught just starting a skill whether its soul seeker or trinity. i can survive 2 hits of his breath attack before needing to pot.

Is there a more efficient way?

@xxDeva: Yeah, server lag on the Breaths (which are usually a few countable seconds between) is wonky so he randomly uses it every now and then. I use MPE pots to get around that.

I don't think the Drill is necessary, since it pushes you a bit too far. I just take a few steps to dodge the breath while continuing the SS spam. If you need to make a quick get away, use the double jump to hop out and then quickly hop back in with the second jump.
At 500k range, you shouldn't have any problems as long as you practice a bit. I do it with 300k with like, 120% boss? With your range, at the eyes, you should set up a Supernova at the bottom and then spam the eyes with Trinity and not worry about the mobs on the other side (SSE should take care of the mobs right below you). Then just wail on the Gem with a Trinity or 5 and you should be good to go.

Take out right shoulder (his left) and just stand between where portal is and where his breath attack hits and chuck orbs at him if you don't have the control to dodge his attacks over and over. You might just be able to ignore the mobs and let the 5 hit over and over and auto die and still take him out. If that doesn't work just wait till right after he shoots his breath and hop forward once and use roar or supernova and you should be able to keep the mob count down enough since orbs will handle all the ones on your side of the portal.

The way I suggested is easy mode. Your way is the correct and faster way but dodging can be a pain sometimes. The main problem I had is getting overzealous with the number of attacks i tried to get in (which resulted in getting clipped by his breath). Some practice and I'm sure you'll be able to do it.
