Actually, your base damage does seem to affect your range by quite a bit. My lv 60 DW has 4 base dex and it's using clean equips apart from a 93 atk sparta, and it's stronger by a decen margin than a lv 62 DW I know with 60 base dex and equips anyone would have killed for pre-potential.

Im a cygnus lvl 101 with 80 base DEX
and im hittink 10k-15k each brandish

after big bang you're not supposed to have ANY dex.

I had 85 base dex and I had a 6k damage range before potentials came out.

hey guys, i have 40 base dex... does that mean I screwed up now? im lvl 22. what are the benefits of having mroe dex? is it that big of a difference or a flaw? thanks.

I'm 110% [b]un[/b]funded, but I'm going to aim for a ribgol/stonetooth sword anyway.
So the extra dex will help me quite a ton lol.
