Cant afford my mastery books

I grinded to 120+ and now I have around 40 unused skill points. I wanted to save them for mastery books, and now I realized since I powered my way to 120+ I only have like 5 mil. Thats with picking up 10% meso and 100% equips and npc'ing the equips.

maplestory has made it so easy to level up, but so difficult to obtain mesos. Does anyone else notice this problem?

What should I do to get around 50mil to buy my mastery books?

While we are on the topic, what should I do when I hit 140ish and need the 140 set, but can't afford it? I know some of the pieces are only 5mil, but some can be up to 50mil and the weapon around 10-20mil.

@polypoly: I'm glad you liked it! Professions are how I started earning meso. I'm pretty casual and I lag like hell in FM so I only have 1.8bil but at least I'm making some progress. Plus, I don't need to worry about the prices of Mastery Books that much.
I'm not quite sure about the prices on your server so I suggest you go on the maplestory website that shows all the prices in the .fm of your world, which is /bera.
It's highly suggested that you get a store permit or a mushroom shop so you can sell for better prices. Just buy a shop with NX for the first time, make a few hundred mil or a few bil if you really put some work into it. After that, you can just buy your NX with meso from NX sellers but be VERY, VERY, VERY careful of scammers.

All the items I listed don't sell like hot rockets but they do eventually sell. Cubics and spell traces are the ones which sell a little faster.
In a future update, 20MB will be 3 mil and 30MB will be 5 mil.

For now, making meso is very easy but only when other players are involved. A fantastic way to earn meso when you're starting out is with professions in Ardentmill. Especially mining. With mining, you can mine some bronze and make bronze plates. Bronze plates are 300k each in Windia. Once your mining is better, you can mine Purple veins for Wisdom/LUK Crystals. Sell the crafted crystals for around 2-3 mil each.

Another great way to earn meso is to go into Evo Lab and put a level 110 equipment core. Pick up all that equipment and throw it into someone else's extractor. Sell the Superior item crystals that come out of it for around 500k each. You can also pick up equipment from your DiPQ runs or just training in Second Drill Hall in a party.

Pick up some Cubic (Chaos) Blades from elite monsters. Those sell for 8-15m. It varies.
Sell or test your luck with all those spell traces in your inventory.

Making millions is a lot slower if you go solo with yourself and npcs. If you want meso, you gotta do more than just sell to npcs.
Very helpful thank you so much! For some reason the professions didnt cross my mind, I totally forgot about it's release! I was doing the level 30 shoe thing for potentials, but I got impatient and my funding went to 0 for it. But this plates/crystal system seems like 0% risk and 100% return, I should change profession!

Making mesos is extremely easy now a days with taking advantage of events. Kill a few elite bosses and sell the CSS 10% you get from them. Also in the most recent KMST patch they changed the price down lower on master books, even though 7mil/10mil is fair.

If you were in Windia I'd buy them for you.

Don't buy mastery books, its a waste.
Do golden temple, lion king castle, silent crusade, ulu city, captain latanica quests.
They all give free mastery books.
Farm 250 evo coins in evo lab and buy mastery book 20 from the shop.
These Quest lines are helpful but thats only like one or two I assume, from the comments. But eventually I would need them for all my skills you know?

What is a stable, steady, and reliable source to get funding if you are higher level but with no funding?
farm zakum(even a noob can beat him nowadays with 0 funding)/ other bosses (if possible get someone to do RA for u) collect the pots and npc. u get like 1.5-2m a day

some questlines give mbs (silent crusade/ grand atheneum/ neo city{closed for now})

you can grind evo to get all your mastery 20 books. and they are tradable to you can sell them to other players then use that money to buy mastery 30 books. i've sold over 40 books in evo and they sell almost instantly in there. kanna's kishin helps with getting more coins but other chars should be okay too i think.
...or sometimes you see ppl sell the old mastery books in fm for like 1 mil each. you might find the ones for you if you are lucky.
