Best type of shield?
I'm a 116 I/L mage and I blew up my precious Esther I've had for like 3 years. (It was a pretty bad shield, but still.)
What shield should I try getting? And also, stats? Potential?
My current attack range is around 4800~5600 (off the top of my head) with all my buffs. I wanted to aim to get that higher, so I've been trying to potential most of my things. Most of them are pretty bad, but my equips bring about ~200 INT extra altogether.

buy a scroll m.att shield w/ %int, since %int is the lowest cost though o.o
diemos sage shield or w/e that lvl 130 one is pretty good too. comes with 9-12 int clean. also it actually exists in abundance unlike the fearless prelude. i still find myself using a maple mage shield tho.
The best shield for Magicians is the Fearless Prelude but I've never seen one before or even a recipe of it yet. I think they were given out during Hot Time?
Maple Magician Shields or the regualr Maple Shield are good if they have a lot of MAtk on them or for the Magician version have some INT%.
There might still be some Last Unwelcome Guest Magician Shields floating around in the FM. Deimos Sage Shields are pretty cheap and easy to make but they require 160 LUK to equip.
If you can get an Epic Potential Scroll you might get something nice.....or blow just it up.
You can try crossing your fingers and scroll for MAtk. I think 60% Shield MAtk is 25-30 mil each or at least that's what i got mine for. Might be more.
Oh yeah....There's also huge mass of Miraculous Chaos Scrolls in the market so use those after passing 1 60% Shield MAtk. Risky but cheaper.....I think? >.>
You can also try your hand at crafting and fusing Esther Shields and hope to get some INT% but this might cost a lot depending on your luck.
I think Monster Park for up to level 69 drops Esther Shields and every equip that drops there has potential.
Or you could just flat out cube something you like.
Now the question is what's your budget?
If you don't want INT% or any of that extra stuff then you can just make another Esther Shield or buy a clean Maple Magician Shield.
