If I dont work out for a month

Hi. I have been working out for a year now and I have built nice muscles, not too nice but noticeably different. I work out 4 days a week since summer with one of those days as full cardio. So, it's Ramadan now and I cannot work out for the extent of the month (i quit my membership for the month too). Will I lose my muscles if I don't work out for the month at all?

@dexslayer We fast from sunrise to sunset (~17.5 hours where I live). Usually I get up around 2:30 to have cereal/eggs and loads of water as a morning meal before dawn, then we break our fast around 8:00PM with a full meal. There's loads of prayers/services that go on until late into the night (from 10-12 here) and then we rinse & repeat for 30 days.

OT: I'm cutting down my normal 5x5 Squat/Deadlift/Bench/OHP workout to only 3x5 for Ramadan. Perhaps you can decrease your volume/weight and just aim for maintenance.

You might not lose too much muscle but you'll gain fat. But what exactly do you do during Ramadan?

dude you're muscles will deteriorate and you will gain alot of fat. You may even become obese

muscles are a bit harder to lose than fat. if you lose weight, you lose fat and muscle. so you have nothing to worry about.

Maintain your muscles by getting enough protein everyday. Get enough calories to maintain your weight. One month without gym will definitely make you weaker but not that much at all. Cheers

Nah, just get your protein every day and you'll be fine. Although you may be a bit weaker when you start again.
