D/c Hacks Fm Spotsgt.gt

I guess I'm just a sore loser over a FM spot, but this is what happens when you get script kiddies running wild with hacks and d/c you.

I was selling some items casually and waiting for an alliance member to log on so I could give her a nice FM2 spot another ally gave me. Instead I come back to a buddy request and then my client trying to logg in. Once I logged in, I was welcomed to another DDoS, by bunch of what I call chat spams (the @@@ spams which were in an expedition chat I wasn't in) and 'a' buddy request.

Let's do some math... 100m = 1.3k NX (1:60) = $1.30 =/= Jail time for DDoS (not really and although this is just a game, but the principle is what counts!)

Any who I'm sorry for being very rage-quitty, I'm a loser, I have no life, blah blah, but I'd like to vent and spread the fearr just like how MrBasil did something similar a few years ago over a nice FM spot. Some nice tips (if there's any) to block away from these attacks (please no witty comments on OH don't piss off a hacker or don't put a dumb permit up on an FM2 spot etc...).
Do you even know what a DDoS is? A DDoS is when your internet gets attacked, meaning you have no internet. This is just a simple public DC hack.
Sorry! I think I was using the term too loosely. I mean MS DDoS, hehe. The CompSci department around here just calls anything that is a direct attack (in whichever form) to any sort of program or computer a DDoS, because it's denying the host it's access. Plus a friend was telling me things like these are a smaller scale of DDoS.

But I'd like to know what is the true nature of what this is called rather than DC hack, because if it's not 'directly denying of service' of the host to a certain service, what is it? I know that it starts with some sort of injector in from the client because of the fact that massive spams enough to lag me out through an invalid path of two different lines (buddy invite and an non-existent expedition chat).
