No shovel/pickaxe after Red?
At "Proffession System Update" it says the follow:
"Can't decide between Mining and Herbalism? Now you don't have to- you can learn both! [b]And you don't even need a shovel or pickaxe to mine or harvest. You can dig with your hands, right?[/b]

Yeah like Anthony84 said, you can still use golden pickaxes and things like that, but they don't force you to have a basic pick/shovel in your inventory to be able to mine/harvest anymore.

i like digging with my tongue as well, hopefully we're talking about the same kind of digging
You can still use specialized Pickaxes and Shovels that dig faster.
