What characteristics make a class, a class?
so this just randomly pop'd into my head and i wanted to know everyone's opinion but what makes Angelic Burster a pirate class? and what makes Xenon a Thief/Pirate class?

Nexon makes them. That's final.
For me there is 3 different things: Class (Resistance, Explorers, Cygnus, etc), Type (Warrior, Bowman, etc) and Job (Angelic Buster, Bishop, etc).
For me what makes a class is the story behind each Job.
What makes a Type is based on it's weapon and play-style (not main stats like some people said, just remember Avenger or Xenon).
And Job is specific, it is what that character is.

@ShiroMugetsu: AB was OP when it was released due to the fact that it was able to pass the 999,999 dmg cap without much effort. And Xenon....is just Xenon.
On how OP it could be
None of ABs or Xenons characteristics makes them those classes. Angelic Buster is a Pirate because Soul Shooters are partially similar to guns, anything else would be too much of a stretch of the imagination.
Xenon is a Thief (although IIRC some/all Xenon weapons are tagged as Pirate-class weapons) because there was no Thief Resistance. They came up with a backstory tying him to Claudine the Thief instructor, and pushed it onto us.
because everybody complained that nexon hated pirates, so nexon decided to create the most OP (at the time) class as pirates.
