Want to build your own system?

Here are some links i find helpful in recommending parts and systems as well as better forums and advice on steps in construction. This is by no means an end-all-be-all. Feel free to add links you believe are relevant also. Please do not post purely buying sites such as newegg or tigerdirect. Happy Mapling

I like this site. It has separate pages for several different budget levels of computer builds, then presents a list of the best parts at the best prices available at the current time, and links to the sites where those parts are available at the best price.

The nice thing about it is they keep the lists updated as new items become available and as prices change with the introduction of new hardware.

They don't actually sell anything, just keep you updated as to what their testing and opinions of the best "bang for the buck" is for your total budget.

They also have pages with articles for first-time computer builders that can help a lot in getting everything together right the first time.
