Oldschool Mapler Returning & needs help

hi everyone
firstly i wanna say sorry if you have seen this question alot of times recently and if i posted in the wrong section....
secondly i would like to say that i have played ms since like 06 or 07 and quit when xenon was released....
now i've seen the whole reboot thingy and i think it might be a nice thing to try out.
unfortunately it seems like maple has changed a lot and i dont know what to do....
so my question is what are the new changes that occured since then? what are the most played "op" classes and what are the classes that almost none plays? where to train? how to get mesos? how does the whole reboot server work? would gladly appreciate any piece of advice

@sassagua: Well for now, nobody is level 200, me thinks... But bigger bosses definitely take a LARGER party than usual. The thing with REBOOT is that over time, people won't get more and more OP. Due to trade, conversion, inflation, exploits, etc, REBOOT characters are cemented into their "own" business--has no effect on the economy. Chances are that there will be a lucky bunch of "OP" players but well deserved, of course. In general, it's a lot more healthy than "normal" MS; not saying that one is better but one is more fair, REBOOT. I would say more fun as well but that's just my opinion. REBOOT is definitely for the old maplers, even new ones if they are up for the challenge.

@firemixtape: there is the star force which is way more easy.
usually i only bought equipment from another charcters because i didnt know how to use the cubes, now im just need to press stop when the star is in the middle.
also i think that bosses are super easy compared to what was years ago, now i can solo chaos zakum.

I also doubt people will be able to solo all the boss when they get their endgame gear since there is no scrolling

@sassagua: Personally, I haven't done any bosses with a party yet so I don't know for sure. All I've done is easy Zakum, but I've heard that basically any boss that isn't on easy would require a party. At least for now, while most people don't have the best possible equips yet.

do you feel like its different as in people actually have to do bosses together? or do people still get to lvl 220 in 5 seconds and solo everything?

EDIT: also what classes are the best for me to open?

@sassagua: YES much more people and that's what I love. Reminds me of old MS, everyone's nooby :')But don't get me wrong, it's still fun, I would recommend it!

@sassagua: Reboot World is highly populated. It's kind of a shadow of old MS, however not really. Leveling is quite easy despite the fact that monsters are stronger. Everything in Reboot World relies on mesos and you can use mesos to cube your gear. Personally, I'm staying in Windia because I invested too much time and effort in Windia just to throw it all away and start completely fresh in a new world.

But to answer one question, Reboot works like a hardcore server. No trading, no economy, basically it makes things like selling to NPC's and crafting useful since you can no longer sell epic items that you scroll (since there is no scrolling allowed either)
Monsters are also harder, we have less damage, and plenty more stuff that I'm sure I haven't figured out yet.

Honestly I recommend you just come back into it with no expectations and just figure stuff out along the way. That's what I did, and I still don't know that much about the new stuff in game (I don't even understand what cubing is) But yeah, I think you'd enjoy much more if you didn't know what to expect.
