Get merc link / zero card first to help train your other links.
Then i would work on your most favorite class first during non-event EXP multipliers. When there is 2x or in-game events, i'd suggest playing the hard to train classes (DA is extremely boring and weak to me)

but as for significance to your range, my list goes like:
demon avenger / Kanna ( both have same link i believe)
Xenon
phantom (even though it doesn't increase your range)
cannon
beast tamer
hayato
jett (on a good core)
lumi

Demon Slayer's link is boss %. Plus the card is status resist.
