Missing Hot Time boxes notice
"We will be looking into the case of missing Hot Time boxes that disappeared when you attempted to open them"
That was pretty quick for Nexon, clap clap.

@iiCorsair: It happened to a lot of people throughout each server.
@Kalsta In the end, we are the tools of our own destruction. The servers are always under 1/4 of the bar but when there's a hot time, the bar is so full it wants to break.
I think they could do as you said and rent some servers, but I find this highly unlikely due to the fact that they have to pay to rent them, pay someone to program
them, and pay someone to maintain them; And that is just not Nexon company policy (imo).
@Kirikai: True, though I'm sure they could figure out some measure to keep it from becoming such a consistent problem, such as renting servers for peak hours during Hot Time or limiting IP usage.
Though tbh you'd have to have a lot of computers running simultaneously to abuse it, since multiple accounts on the same comp are no longer a viable option.
Not exactly crappy events so much as poorly timed ones.
I crashed while trying to get into the CS when the big rush started. Which almost never happens...
Nexon REALLY needs to invest in larger/faster servers for their most popular game. For a multi-billion-dollar company, they have abysmal service - which, while not unexpected (see EA, Ubisoft, S-E, etc. for more proof), they could do so much better with just a simple upgrade without even taking the existing servers offline...
This only happens during hot times, which we haven't had in a while. You can blame the people that have tons of accounts for abusing hot day event for this.
I don't see them upgrading their equipment JUST for a hot time event. Although I must say that even when there isn't a hit time we get d/c randomly.
Nexon once again showing that compensation/reward with x2/GM events is more of a punishment. 6 years and they have refused to even acknowledge how crappy these events are for most people.
Channels are crashing left to right

@Radiqal: Was it for all servers? Because I was on and this didn't happen to me.
What if we missed it because of something nexon caused? I missed it because of a disconnection from the servers 30seconds before the event started.
You're not gonna get one:
05:39:03 PM] Maryse: People are mad
[05:39:09 PM] Maryse: A lot of them crashed, missed the hot time
[05:42:04 PM] Waltzing: We didn't have any server crashes.
[05:42:18 PM] Waltzing: Which makes it client sided.
[05:42:19 PM] Maryse: People are just disconnecting left to right.
[05:42:20 PM] Maryse: Yeah
[05:45:23 PM] Waltzing: It's why we tell people to spread out and to stay out of busy places.
[05:46:56 PM] Maryse: We're not gonna hear the end of it today
Nope. I think there was a case similar to this that happened before, but only people whose boxes disappear were compensated. Not too much on Nexon's fault if you missed it yourself.

I hope people who missed it completely get boxes (had to re download maple </3 )
hold the applause until they announce a further statement, they could easily say "yep, everything went fine on our end, no compensation"
