ddos over maplestory?

Like few mins ago some guy trades me asking for the price of his golden hammer and he was asking all rudely so i kinda decided to play around with him
In the end i just told him to go check out the fm site, cuz honestly i didnt even know since i stopped going to fm lately.
I guess he didnt trust me and threatened to ddos, ofc i thought he was trolling like those ppl on league. So i was like "this aint league brah"
He then asked me for my rank and asked me to play with him, and ofc i couldnt be bothered so i said no. He ends trade and as soon as trade ends my internet crashes.
Idk if this is coincidence or if its legit, i am at a complete loss. Did i rly get ddosed over maple?
Just reset your ip by turning off your router for 2minutes and turning it back on. If that doesn't fix it, then it's not a ddos, but if it is, call your internet provider to track where it's coming from, if you put on a big enough complaint, they will investigate the source. With some luck, if that source follows the same internet provider, they may be charged criminally

Edit: Oh and to the guy who is getting ddos'd, call your internet provider after trying what I stated above, DDoS is incredibly easy to track and whoever is launching it can get a nice lawsuit within a few days if you have the initiative to contact your ISP.
Well after a bit my internet got all laggy and crashed again so i just went to sleep to check if it would be better by the time i get home today, and ofc it was still broken so i tried reseting my ip and it seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks for the help
