Memorial Angel- will it cut off my hair?

I have the item 'Memorial Angel' and I'd like to know if it'll chop my hair off if I equip it. I'm too afraid to actually equip it since if it does chop my hair off I wouldn't want it- but it would be untradable after I equip it. I'm testing different hats out in the cash shop and some of them preserve my Aran hairstyle ponytail and some chop it off. I can't try on the Memorial Angel since it is no longer in the cash shop. Does anyone know if this particular item will preserve my hair or not? How can I try on items in my inventory if they are no longer in the cash shop? Thanks for any input!
