Why dont classes use existing weapons?

Like literally every class since dual blade has had their own weapon. Why don't we have classes for the weapons that nobody uses? Nobody uses axes or blunt weapons. They're alternative weapons for hero and paladin but those classes would rather use swords. Battle mages use staves but no class uses wands. The weapons they're making aren't even unique. desperados, hyoto weapons and whip blades look like swords. Beast tamer staff thing, canes, magic rods, kanna weapons, are all just staff look alikes. katara are dagger copies.

Pretty much. Essentially look at Shades; imagine I'm a funded Buccaneer(I'm not), I can just transfer my Knuckle over with whatever the cost of a Scissors is and the cost is hugely decreased in comparison to actually scrolling, cubing, etc. Now imagine if I wanted to make a Hayato instead, and I'm in a much different situation where my only option was to buy from someone who cubed/scrolled since release(As no supply existed from then to 'recycle') or do it myself, which is much more expensive.

I guess it's not a huge deal in some cases, but it definitely matters in the long run when a lot of weapons get passed around via quitting, changing mains, etc.
How does weapon diversity make Nexon more money? People still have to scroll and cute their weapon regardless.
People can't "recycle" already cubed/scrolled weapons on a class, effectively paying a fraction of the cost to 'produce' them. For example, imagine that a new class that used Claws came out; not everyone would cube a claw because they're already popular and some supply is floating around. This means that the total amount of new weapons that are made is 'less' than if it was a new weapon(Where everybody has to cube/scroll, instead of using a pre-existing weapon).

Essentially, everyone has to scroll/cube a new weapon if they want to use a class with a new weapon, while not everyone does if it's an existing one, so there's more profit in making new weapons.
The idea of giving us more weapon diversity keeps things fresh, in a sense, and also keeps us paying more money. Same with the diversity in secondaries and the fact that boss arena emblems are not tradable. It's a whole money drive, but I understand why they do it because if those items were shared/tradable, there'd be quite a few ways I could think of for abusing them and over-funding multi mains and just going crazy with bossing.

So it depends on your point of view. Is Nexon being greedy and making us cube more or is Nexon being smart and not letting these items be tradable/sharable so the economy get a bit of regulation?
How does weapon diversity make Nexon more money? Having Knuckles inflate for existing Buccaneers is/was/would be a poor move in Nexon's part(In reference to Shades using them), in my opinion; essentially, with new weapons it allows people who play the current classes to not be inconvenienced by huge spiking prices(Look at Night Walker's release), gives a new opportunity for drops, puts everyone on a similar footing and prevents what I'll refer to as "hoarding" that some 'merchants' do(And really disrupts the economy in some cases, for a time)... new weapons are fairer for everyone.

Using existing weapons just gives whoever wants to 'main' that class and has a main that uses the same weapon type a huge advantage if they want to transfer gear, while making upgrades practically impossible for an average player as prices can sky-rocket to ludicrous levels.

I suppose there's a case for Wands, Axes and Blunt Weapons, but otherwise using existing weapons is incredibly annoying. It's not enough that the new classes tend to out-do some existing ones(Speaking from a Buccaneer's perspective: pretty much everything), but having a class that's better in every way using a similar weapon? That's a real kick in the pants.
