Parents and Ms

Do they even know or get it when we say:
"I can't leave the PC, I'm bossing!" (Bossing)
"There's a timer for this thing that I'm doing, I can't leave now" (PQ)
"I can't switch off MS, I need to wait 30 more mins to get an item." (AFK for item event)
"There's a bonus if I log in at this time!" (x2 exp/drops, miracle time, hot time)

Their answer to all of the above: " Don't worry, you could always do it next time!/ theres always next time! Now come and help me for awhile!"
In my mind: " I've spent 3 hours trying to get in czak and they asked me to just quit? WTF?/Why don't they believe that theres no next time? >.<"

Why can't parents understand it? Why don't they try to understand? Is it that hard?
I helped them 70% of the time, why can't they give me a chance to play w/o being disturb?
"Just pause your game and come help me"
They always use this... "I need 1/2 an hour to finish this." "Just pause your game." Like do they really not understand that these games aren't pauseable?

Get a job, pay for your own things; become 'self-dependent'.
I just use my desktop to afk on it if i need to stay on for a spesific amount of time, when my parent need's something then i'll tell her to give me a minute, and i'll get on it then i actually do it. Make a trust so they'll actually leave you alone or won't hassle you if you tell them things like 'in 5 minutes' etc.

When I still lived with my parents, it was like this.
"Let's go!"
"I'm in the middle of something!"
"Can't you pause it?"
"..."

They are your parents, and they won't be with you forever, so at least give them some respect while you have them. I know that it is frustrating when I am in a similar situation as you, but it won't be the end of the world if you get off of Maple in the middle of something, right? MapleStory is virtual, but your parents aren't...

@35353535: I know how you feel
@maplerescue: Thats cool, but my parents said their to "old" for games.
@eerie: I did, and I got scolded for asking for them to WAIT for 5 mins, JUST 5 MINS.
@Seodan @yongyong139: Its an example? I'm exaggerating it.
@MapleFlow: Will you care if they intentionally bug you like poking your hips or playing with you when you're busy?
@AryanPrince: Eh, my parents don't buy everything for me, I have to earn $ in order to get what I want. They called it relying on my own $. o.o

What I do: Create a time schedule and give it to your parents including all future events such as miracle time etc.Tell your parents what hours you are free and what hours you are gaming and apply a consequence for each one of you.For example if your parents ask you to do something during gaming hours you get $1.However if you get asked to do something outside game time and dont do it or your grades fall you do something for them such as extra vacuuming , clean their room, mow the lawn, etc.My parents love this because they can 'abuse' non gaming time but i like it as well as they often ask me to do stuff during game time.

Tel them you'll pencil them in for later. Really though unless im in the middle of a boss I just go anyways. There is almost always a next time. If there isn't I make sure to let my parents know that im going to be busy between certain times and that if they need me to get help before or after I'm done.

It pays to have a quiet processor and duct tape to cover the power switch

This happens to me too. My parents bug me a lot and ask me to do many things, but I really don't mind anymore.

My dad knows i'm on my laptop alot but he doesn't know i'm playing maplestory. All your situations are invalid because I'll stop doing anything on maple if someone needs something irl.
