So, with rangefinder, it'd be easier to keep distance? Does it work against bosses? Say, Leviatan from commerci?

It's practically a necessity, no other way of getting stance.
I would recommend definitely getting it, try to max empathy & get a 200 merch for extra buff duration.
If you want to get buff duration on your inner ability you'd probably have it all the time with those combinations.
It helps heavily for Leviatan, but really- that's one of the few bosses I use the mihile link skill for- most of the other bosses that are good for killing requires me to move around.
This link skill is useful for many bosses as well as evol lab and hall of honor for a marksman. I trained a marksman to 195 and the skill was useful anywhere I went.
