Kmst 1.2.410 - Skill Changes

http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=51403
Seems as though the revamp is getting a lot better than before. Some pretty major things that can see so far is;
Bullet time seem to make it so we have 160% speed at max if reading this correctly.

Recoil shot's range went from (250 --> 350).

Full metal jacket gives 30% instead of 20% crit and 20%pdr instead of 10%.

Infinite bullet consumption went from 150bullets to 100 and duration from 140 to 180.

Assemble crew cooldown went from 120sec to 30.

Pirate Style also seems to give 60% stance. <3
And something about captian's dignity, not really sure what. Seems as though it's basically an expert gun mastery.

Also if look at the skills, seems as though we get final attack.

Headshot is still useless though. Needs to be faster, not shoot farther.

Discuss if want.

i think the main reason people are so happy now is the craptastic original revamp we had. so the question now is: does increased dpm + stance trump battleship? </3
@willeh: I'm pretty sure we also have higher weapon multipliers than say Archers since our guns have less attack. Can't remember though
20% pdr isn't bad, and unless I missed something BMs don't have pdr on hurricane. Also I think our counterparts, the mechanic, also only have a 20% passive pdr from atomic hammer.
Bows used to have a 1.20 multiplier but post jump/chaos it got boosted to 1.30 or 1.35 ... Cant remember which. Thought im pretty sure their multiplier was still lower than crossbows and since crossbows are still 1.35 it should be 1.30.

In any case gun multiplier is 1.50

EDIT: Ooh I almost forgot to write how happy I was about this patch. I was soo mad after the last pirate patch. I still intended to remake my sair in spite of it but it took away all our originality,reduced our dpm (according to sp), and even took away my favorite summons
The only part I liked was our snipe since I've always liked that skill and even though it might reduce dpm I don't care about dpm to that extent. I'd be happy to use headshot ever so often while bossing.

Now this patch just made me happy. Stance,fa,significant boosts in attack all around and the ability to summon more!...I couldn't have asked for more. It just made corsairs my dream class once again.

I'l still miss battleship though.

Whoot! I forgive them now. Looks like head shot's going to be the "just for fun skill". It's too bad; it looked so awesome.

@SleepyheadXIII:
But our guns have much lower attack than most of the other weapons, and other classes seems to have more ignore dpr than we do, for example buccs get like 30%, and sins have a 3rd job skill that gives +30 atk and 40% ignore dpr. Although I'm not sure how much of a boost the 10% damage would be, if it's +10% the total damage and not +10% weapon attack then I guess it would be great.

@willeh:
Eh, seems a bit over the top. Mean if compare to mechanics or cannon shooters they get like a 50atk boost total or so which is bit less than what we got. Plus there is also the fact we gain about another 20atk from bullets while they don't since they don't use ammo. Along any equips we have with the 10%atk boost, seems like a lot.

@xsoccerpenguin: Yeah final attack skills are really useful with hurricanes.
BM's advance final attack has a 70% chance to activate and does 270% damage. Hurricane skills shoot at around 500 shots per minute if I remember correctly. So it's about 350 more arrows doing 270%dmg on average.
Ours activate 100% of the time, but only does 70% damage which makes sense considering how rapid fire is 330% compare to BM's 250% hurricane.
I think it would be better if they nerf rapid fire's damage a bit and raise our final attack damage, but still overall do the same DPM, because being able to hit damage cap with both hurricane and final attack will be a lot easier for BMs than it is for Corsairs.

I'm just curious... wouldn't that final attack from Captain's Dignity be REALLY good for RF? I know for BM it goes with hurricane, so wouldn't rapid fire be like... idk 25% better? And I heard what's the % chance of the Final Attack from it?

Now this is much better, the only major problem left is the useless headshot skill now.
Edit: @SleepyheadXIII: This is probably average or slightly below average compared to the atk buffs all the other classes have.

@Jarretboyle: Edit; Nvm.
Just wow though, so much attack buffs. 10% atk, 30 from crew, increase in hollow point. Just dam o.o

Comments? I think this places you above Evans and we are right behind you. Mastery one places you behind Demon Slayers and either above or slightly below Mercedes.
Oh wow, finally a buff instead of a nerf. Just going to guess and say adjusted mastery is pirate style giving us 70% instead of 50% mastery right?
Eh, I'll take it. Those are some nice changes and they'll def go a long way toward satisfying ppl. I'm very happy about the increased pdr, stance and FA. I'm also curious to know if the changes mean we will be able to summon multiple crew members. That would be pretty awesome and would make up for the loss of multiple octo summons, esp if the buffs are party buffs. 10% damage, def, hp etc... pretty decent party buff in addition to the damage, if its a party buff that is.

Has anyone considered that headshot might actually be good against very high damage reduction bosses like, i dunno empress? the benefits of PDR aren't flat, like those of att damage. since its a % they scale with the pdr of different mobs. Could the 40% PDR make up for the damage loss and slow attack speed on really high pdr bosses? Additionally, since we've lost 10% crit chance in our 1v1 skill isn't the 100% crit chance on headshot even more valuable? I'm beginning to have a feeling that if you factor in the difference in PDR and Crit rate between rapid fire and headshot, there will be a niche for headshot that will make it valuable for high level boss fights.

The way I'm envisioning it, with some funding, headshot could allow you to hit the damage cap pretty much once every 1.25 secs on any monster in the game, even bosses that shred your damage with pdr. Maybe that's just wishful thinking, tho.
Might be my wording, or maybe might be misreading it, but either way we actually gained 10%crit.
Atm with cannon we have 45%. Post revamp,20% critical skill in 1st job+ 20% crit from full metal jacket= 45%crit.
Current update raised full metal jacket to 30%, so it's now 55%.
Anyways, pretty sure it's been calculated by southperry before this current change that DPM is lost when using head shot on all bosses, because of the delay on it. If it wasn't, pretty sure the person would of said that they used head shot in calculation in one of the scenarios like usually does, but seems it's just spam rapid fire+summons is the best thing to do.
things r looking even better for the update! +1 for stance! ahaha and i dnt see snipe that useless... it looks like a cool move to use... and it goes farther! plus our crew summon is way faster which is great too! can't wait for vids of the update.
Snipe is really only good for bosses and finishing off 1 monster in a mob that may of not killed. The speed ours (Head shot) is so slow that it actually lowers our DPM. At the moment it is useless and don't see the point of putting up more than 1 point into it.
