With your range and you considering switching from the #1 explorer thief to the melee side of explorer thieves, you'll do better with Shadower. Shadowers are slower in attacking, there's no arguing about it, but there's nothing worse than an unfunded DB.

if you changed to say a db and you changed back would you have to buy the nl books again?
NL is my favourite class of all time.
It got even better after the RED update.
The most fun imo is NL, best 1v1 damage Shadower, Best mix of fun + damage would be DB
