With zero funding, definitely Wind Archer; not only do you not have to buy mastery books, %Dex is one of the cheapest stats in the game ( though they are squishy). Ah Shade, the " forgotten" hero. Many people just love to hate on Shade, but if you like a class then you like it, and if you don't, that's that; no need to say it's a "bad" class just because you don't like it ( after all, fun is subjective). With that said, Shade is not one of those classes that is op with little to no funding; you actually need to fund it lol ( it is "slow" though". I would suggest to play both of them and think about how far you want to go with either of the class and then decide if you want to main it or not.
My shade was the biggest waste of time of all of the characters I've made. I got it to 120 for the link and character card to complete the pirate set bonus and haven't logged onto it since. They are incredibly resilient, but are also incredibly boring to train.

i have 150+ in both and i say a WA has more damage and better unfunded play all together

Zero funding means you can kill pretty much same bosses on all classes. Only class that can kill a few more with zero funding is zero class.
