I'm not arguing, I'm calling you an idiot. There is a difference. So please, take your 12 year old mentality and stop trying to start arguments with people on this site for no reason. No one is fooled by your emoticons, we all know you're upset.

No, that wasn't your SOLE point, but alright. Judging by that mistake I'm going to assume you're 12 and have no idea what you're talking about.

I don't care if they can play or not, I'm just telling you that what you're saying is wrong. "GMS", as you put it, is intended for the North American populace only.
@inuyou No you don't. I play from Germany. And it's GLOBAL Maplestory, genius.
It's North American only, the name wasn't changed when they added IP restrictions. Quoting the ToS "We reserve the right to limit, suspend, interrupt or terminate the availability of the Service, in whole or in part, to you and any other user or person, geographic area or jurisdiction, at any time and in our sole discretion." This was used to exclude Europe from service many years ago. If it was intended for people outside of North America, there wouldn't be IP restrictions. This is literally common sense.

EDIT: By the way that part of the ToS is found under Section 9 "JURISDICTIONAL ISSUES/SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS."

EDIT2: Actually it was renamed, my apologies. It's no longer called GMS despite what others call it since what they call it literally does not matter. The product is called MapleStory licensed under Nexon North America.

@Sheerkon67: "QQ more", the quality of your responses move me greatly. Your naivety ruins it slightly though. Maybe next time, I'll be more interested in sticking around. Try better next time.

@Sheerkon67: Butt hurt because someone gave me the reply I'd expect from a 12 year old? No. Disappoint because I had expected more than someone who can't process a comparison properly? Yes.

Complain to all the other people who still refer to the game as GMS, cause this one doesn't care about your opinion. And we can play outside of the USA. Regardless of whether it requires just that much more effort. Cannot, or can't, or not able means you are not capable of doing said action, and we are so therefore.. We CAN, not CANNOT.
And here I was wondering why we don't like the Germans.

@SilvaLau: That's unfortunate.. I like Spotflux sooo much more than HSS, but if it works well for you then that is good.

You can refer to a blanket as a pillow, it will still be a blanket. You weren't correcting him, because he wasn't wrong. It may be called GMS, but it's meant for the North American players of the game. Hence why as a European player, you have to use a VPN or have an account that was created 7 years ago. Which basically means that you cannot play outside North America. Disregarding Oceania's ability to log on for a moment here.

@Sheerkon67: well I guess maybe some of the address are blocked then. I noticed sometimes when I was using Spotflux I would get blocked.

@SilvaLau: I have been, and still am using Spotflux. It isn't blocked. I used to use HSS, and it's terrible in comparison to Spotflux.
Spotflux. Get it. Log into your account on the website. Turn the VPN on. Click play. Abra kadabra alakazam! It works.
Spotflux got blocked again, probably because people start abusing it and it has been classified as suspicious.

And HotSpot Shield works better most of the time, you just have to know how:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P_GuUl-j_8

Randomly found that video, I haven't watched it yet so I don't know the content.
I have uploaded one a while ago but I guess I deleted my video....

Well, mostly, you just have to log in from MapleStory website first with HotSpot Shield DISABLED.
And then after you log in, ENABLED HotSpot Shield and click PLAY to start, let the HotSpot Shield run for as long as you are on Maple.

If you log in with HotSpot Shield ENABLED, your account will most likely get blocked and you will have to go through the hassle to re-enable your Maple account all over again.

They didn't change the name when they started excluding other continents, but it's definitely North American. So quit your sass.
