Combo Synergy question

Hey y'all,

Can anyone of y'all give a quick explanation of how Combo Synergy is suppose to work? It says Total Damage increase per orb but I don't see an increase in my damage when I hit mobs. Does it not show up in your range? Right now it says 3% per orb show it should be 15% Total Damage increase?

minor correction to above people, Hero gains not total damage % but rather Damage % from Orbs, which is calculated additively with critical damage (for some weird ass reason, Heroes would be so much better if it was calculated before or after critical damage rather than with it), so if you have 60% min/max crit and 120% (hyper) from orbs, and another 60% from enrage, you would deal (100% of whatever damage you are currently dealing) + 60% +120% + 60% = 340% damage on your criticals, and 280% damage on your non criticals, which is why Heroes have a deceptively low range, and also why calculations and tests show that critical damage (and chance for that matter) mean very little to Heroes.

Thanks y'all! I'll hang it in there!

It's still a fun class nonetheless.

Exactly as the other two have said. A Hero's Combo Orbs are a total damage increase (not shown in range) that only occur as you attack monsters and build your orbs. Eventually when you max out your Advanced Combo Attack you will build up to 10 orbs in total resulting in a 100% damage increase (10% per orb). If you watch your numbers starting from 1 orb to the max, you will most definitely see your numbers rise until they are at a peak where orbs alone won't increase your numbers anymore. As such one would usually go into using Puncture (20% more critical damage) followed shortly (after building those 4 orbs back) by Panic on the monsters, provided they will live long enough after the 10 orb shot of Panic to build orbs again. With Panic's Blind effect in place a Hero's Chance Attack will kick in resulting in an even higher total damage increase per attack. After of which if the monster is still not dead and there are only a few remaining, a Hero would Enrage resulting in monstrous damage to finally defeat your enemy.

In a nutshell: When you combine all your strengths together, only then will you see your damage get higher than normal.

Yeah, the damage from your orbs don't show up in your range, but eventually you'll notice a damage increase as you keep attacking ^^

I'm not super knowledgeable about Hero's but I'm fairly sure that total damage from your orbs don't show up in your range, leading heroes to have very low ranges compared to other classes. The dmg should show, but maybe you're just not hitting enough to make it seem very noticeable?
