Dualblade

Would It Be Wise to Switch?

I was wondering if it would be better to switch from Dual Blade to Shadower. It started when I saw this:

0.) Zero: 52114%/s - Alpha Combination 4 --> 2+3, Beta Combination 2 --> 4 --> 2 * (see footnote 4) /heh
1.) Dark Knight: 22144%/s - Gungnir + Sacrifice
2.) GMS Kaiser: 20592%/s - Giga Slasher + Wingbeat
3.) Angelic Buster: 19903%/s - Soul Seeker
4.) Marksman: 19406%/s - Far range, no cooldown snipe
5.) Hero: 19122%/s - Enraged Raging Blow + Panic when possible
6.) F/P Archmage: 18595%/s - Mist Eruption + Teleport
7.) Phantom: 17201%/s - Arrow Blaster + Crossover Chains
8.) Battle Mage: 17001%/s - Blows + battleking bar
9.) Bowmaster: 16824%/s - Arrow Blaster + Arrow Turret (blaster's space-bar thingy)
10.) Shadower: 16807%/s - Assassinate + ME
11.) Corsair: 15372%/s - Headshot* (see footnote)
12.) Wind Archer: 15218%/s - Sky Song + Trifling Whim Arrows
13.) Wild Hunter: 14947%/s - Wild Arrow Blast
14.) I/L Archmage: 14295%/s - Teleport + Chain Lightning + Frozen Orb
15.) Paladin: 13505%/s - Blast Spam (Sword)
16.) Night Lord: 13457%/s - Quad Throw (proc's Mark of the Night @ level 250) * see second footnote
17.) Demonic Avenger: 13314%/s - Exceed: Execution
18.) Evan: 12133%/s - Phantom Imprint + Illusion Spam
19.) Buccaneer: 11122%/s - Full Power fist enrage
20.) Thunder Breaker: 10619%/s - Ascend + Thunder
21.) Demon Slayer: 10538%/s - Demon Impact
22.) Cannoneer: 10323%/s - Cannon buster
23.) Xenon: 10083%/s - Blade Dancing
24.) Bishop: 9942%/s - Big Bang when genesis is on cooldown + teleport
25.) Mihile: 9833%/s - Soul Assault
26.) Mechanic: 9704%/s - Seige Mode Bullets
27.) Hayato: 9340%/s - Rai Sanreizan + Falcon Dive
28.) Dual Blade: 9339%/s - Phantom Blow
29.) Dawn Warrior: 9230%/s - Speeding Sunset and Dance of Moon
30.) Mercedes: 9132%/s - Ishtars Ring
31.) Aran: 7790%/s FB + BB
32.) Kanna: 7133%/s Shisen Gyouha
33.) GMS Luminous: 4770%/s - Ender in equilibrium, Reflection in sunfire, Apocalypse + morning starfall in Eclipse

For a class that has low hp, the dps should be higher than a class that has high hp. So the attack power is low and the dps is low so what is the advantage of the Dual Bladers? The need for funding doesn't help.
My current unbuffed range is 20794-24463, and I've been told that my range is pretty low for a Dual Blade.

Basically, there really aren't any good points in Dual Blades, so would it be better to switch? Or am I doing something wrong?

28.) Dual Blade: 9339%/s - Phantom Blow
A key point you guys are probably missing is that these numbers are calculated without perm final cut, thus this percentage is significantly low. When calculating for dps cooldown and duration also comes in to play. By negating cd on finalcut and being able to use full damage pb all the time automatically puts you in top dps spots. Bottom line is this dps chart isn't complete it should of included the dps with perm cut. So don't go around thinking db has the 29th spot. Also another key point would be that we didn't get updated like all those other top-dog explorers. So put what i said about finalcut + revamp into consideration and there you got a top-dog DB.

DB is higher % dps on bosses then shad and nl with 200% boss + on that chart you're referring to.

Only go DB is you have the funding and the time to fund. If you don't this class will kill you from the inside. I say switch to shad if you want more bang for your buck but overall if both classes are 100% funded DB wins w.o a doubt.
Yes, if you lack funding, no, if you plan on/will be capable of getting VERY HIGH amounts of funding.

DBs are one of the weakest unfunded jobs with regards to numbers - you have a lot of skills with many attacks but many low numbers. This means that it'll be harder for you to hit the damage cap, but if you DO, you'll have one of the highest DPS's in the game. The DPS chart you have above only goes by skill damage %s, and doesn't consider funding.
Shadowers have poor 1v1 dps compared to DBs w/Asura and PB. I switched from DB to Shad and my range went up, however so did my solo times.
Shadowers give a lot of free damage and are especially good at training. If you have difficulty getting good equips or mesos, Shadower is a good choice. However endgame, DBs are my pick. You only train up to a certain point, but its always good to boss. In my opinion, Dual Blades have the best 170 hyper skill in the game right now.
I switched to a db. I regret it. I'm dying twice as much, taking twice maybe even three times as long to kill monsters/bosses now, and that isn't even the worse part. Got a perfected katara to replace my clean dkhan. The katara even had %boss on it while the dkhan had nothing. I wouldn't recommend switching unless you're looking for a variety of keys to press.
@Mapleftwpplz
Thieves would be the sweepers with low HP/Defense but good Speed and Attack.
I guess Pirates would be all-around classes

You'll most likely switch back whenever db's get revamped anyway, so stay db

@Mapleftwpplz : "with the way nexon is releaseing things the theory of low hp = high damage is a bunch of bull"

Thank you! I actually found someone who knows how the game should have been...
MS was great when it was the usual format with the RPG games...

Mages = Magic = Any distance and uses more MP so usually have high MP but lower HP

Warrior= Melee = Close range ONLY and should have poor mobility or fairly slow in some way but by making up for being a close range class should be offered high damage and high HP since it has to be close range

Archer = Far range = Lower HP and far ranged attacks compared to mages.

As for thieves and pirates, i dont know what to say about them since they are the "uniqueness" MS made up.

But MS will never be the same since warriors = strongest job in the game with everything an overpowered job is considered in all RPG games

MS warriors has : High HP, Mobility, High Defense, Decent range attacks. In MS warriors dont need Evasion since they can tank almost everything and no need for MP since we can spam MP as much as we want compared to other RPG games when there are cooldowns.
for one thing dont go by DPS charts. dbs are great at 1v1 but need a ridiculous amount of funding to reach their potential. otherwise classes like shad will be better up until the point where the shads hit cap. with the way nexon is releaseing things the theory of low hp = high damage is a bunch of bull. dbs have asura which is ridculous but you need to be 170 for it.

just play it if its fun. my db has a 50k range and its lvl 180 but i still play it just because its fun to play
By any chance, do you know the advantages of Dual Blades. If we have low HP and low DPS, then what can we do?
If you really feel that reluctant to play a DB because of the numbers, then switch. We don't need bandwagoners like you.
I really love Dual Blading, but it gets frustrating when I have to be carried to do anything. I only defeated Gollux because a friend beat him and then told me to come in when he was almost done.
