Haha funny that you said that, I think it's less stress because Animation Mentor breaks down the course so you can spend more time focused at one thing at a time. In our 2D program you still have to do a lot of other things like life drawing and background painting. The truth is, the thing that I love most about our program is all the peers you can meet. It sort of gives you a gauging system of where you stand among everyone else.

We did skimp on 3D for a few semesters, but it's really a crash course and not really something in depth.

Oh cool, and yeah maybe its a lot less stress because you're in your house all inspired and not with people around you, and with classical animation you can do 3D as well, just learn how to use the software in this case Maya and voila!
I have a friend that is working in the new www.huevocartoon.com movie and the animation from that studio is only 2, but this movie is going to be in 3D so, he told me that all the animators from that studio never did 3D animation, he taught them in how to use 3D technology and they're doing pretty well because animation is knowlodge not a software ^_^
Cool cool, good luck with your studies

I'm already studying animation at Sheridan, but more of a classical 2D approach. My friend originally was in the program, too, but I think she dropped out for a year to take Animation Mentor. It's a lot less stress from what I've heard.

I know one of my friends who took a program from animation mentor I wish I can take it as a side thing, although it's too pricey for me to afford it

If it means anything, I'll be attending the California Institute of the Art's (CalArts) animation program for their summer school, CSSSA.
I also plan on applying to CalArts for their BFA in character animation as my target school (second being Sheridan)

this looks very interesting/promising, I will look into it!
