100% potential tier upgrade
Hey basil i just got some theif overalls that has 100% chance to upgrade potential tier when a cube is used. What i'm wondering is does it count for bonus potential as well?

@tifa: Not sure why you can't do it. Was it recent or old? Here's a [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OArI5tMwcPg]video[/url] of Epic to Unique for 100% Tier Increase with the tradeable Occult Cubes, by the way.

Wrong. The free tradeable Occult Cubes given from the Attendance Event has a max result of Epic, but 100% Tier Increase overrides the limitaton, allowing you to get to Unique. Once you've gotten to Unique though, then that message will pop up. I've gotten three equips to Unique during the Attendance Event.
Then, there's the untradeable Occult Cubes given from the Sealed Boxes in Root Abyss. Those have a max result of Unique, but I don't know if you can bypass the limitation to get to Legendary since I haven't gotten one in ages.

I'm pretty sure they do work even if the occult cube says max tier is epic. I used my free occults from the event (I am sure it was the free ones, I have not bought any other cubes) on my 100% upgrade tier warrior skirt and it came out to unique even though the max was supposed to be epic.

Aww dam wish i checked the thread before i tried xD. Used a special bonus pot on it, revealed as rare then used 1 bonus cube still rare. I did get +10atk however, i hope you got something usefull with your cubes . Thanks for testing it out as well.
That's that then 100% potential tier upgrade equips don't include bonus potential, thanks for all the replies.

I believe you can.
If you use an occult cube when the item is epic, 100% item tier increase should bring it to unique.
Then there are those occult cubes with "Max Result: Unique" you can use.
Use that cube on the unique item and the 100% item tier increase should bring it to legendary.
Actually, for 100% upgrade items, occult cubes actually bring it up to unique.
that's actually a good question, buy 2 cubes and find out o.o
