Whats new maplestory

So.... the last time i remember playing maplestory was....hmm the introduction of the pvp system?

Ive just come back and theres alot of new stuff, im quite liking it, but what have i missed?
whats this flying thing (not the soaring skill for the pq)
I think ive got the jist of the monster book, but would someone care to explain?
I noticed no lightbulbs are on our head, but now they are listed to the LHS.
Skills were rebuffed? Although i feel my blast30 is much weaker lol
.... anymore? the pqs and stuff? i noticed a few new ones
or even some sort of link which explains this
