What is this nonsense

So am I the only one who thinks it's just ludicrous to have those red/green/yellow eggs drop in DI? Or in any part of the game? The only point they have it seems is to cause MASSIVE amounts of lag.

Item ignore won't even help in the long run. Once the map starts filling up with enough eggs I start lagging like crazy because there's too many drops on screen. Also I'd rather not have to keep 60 free use and etc slots open during a Kritias invasion just so I have enough space set aside so I won't fill up and have pet loot lag. The most annoying thing is the ETC easter eggs. No way to ignore them and they fill up etc inv so quickly.

If they made these events quest based where you would only get the drops if you accepted the quest, that would be enough of a solution since you could always forfeit the quest at anytime. But as simple as that seems, they would have to rework a lot of the event since drops are half based on certain time periods and half quest related, and the chances of that actually happening are basically 0. Why bother change outdated events when you could just re release ALL of them and have 37 event quests for every holiday where all but one give rewards like "10 elixirs" or "5k mesos". Because everyone loves content. Clearly.

I find myself playing much more during the few precious days they give in between holiday events when there are no random drops wasting 50 slots in use and etc. Can we have less holidays, please. "Oh, you actually wanted to have some use slots open? Here are new years bells that don't stack at all because they have a time duration on them. They give very mediocre rewards!"

If they're going to continue basing events off of drops, they should at least try to go back and change the items per stack for many of the drops. The game has become one where you can kill thousands of mobs in a relatively short amount of time and have hundreds of drops on screen at once. This ain't no 2008 "Wow my mobbing skill can hit 4 mobs, and it does TWO lines of damage!1!11!!". The game has basically increased by an order of magnitude, but many event drops are still capped at 100. Having 300 stacks would be helpful, but for something like these easter eggs a 1000 stack still would still be annoying to deal with.

For new players, these old recycled events have their pros and cons. It gives some easy content that gives decent (ish, not really... kinda not at all) rewards that could be a little helpful, but it also adds to the clutter when there's already so much to learn about maple and what it offers. If it were a matter of giving people opportunities to do old events they missed, I think at some point they should get rid of the ones that don't even give exclusive rewards. I don't think many people are excited to see that they can get an extra 10 power elixirs from their favorite summer event from 2010. If it were an event like Dark Lords of Darkness that are RNG based, then sure bringing it back would make sense, but just keeping all of the old events around for the sake of making it look like there's a lot of new stuff happening is not making the majority of people happy.

I started writing this because I just failed Kritias Invasion since there were too many drops, and then I got even angrier as I was writing that every single time there's a new event it makes managing inventory space such a pain. When events (which are basically always happening on MS, with only super short periods of time in between) make actual permanent content in the game significantly more difficult to the point where I would have finished if not having to deal with pet lag from event drops towards the end, there's sort of a problem. I'm not going to suggest them to "fix pet lag" because that is asking way too much of them (no sarcasm there). But there are plenty of fixes that would be less involved, the simplest being just don't release these old events. It's not like there's some event quota they have to fill. "Oh hey Tim, how many holiday events are we releasing for Christmas this year? Only 12? That seems kind of low. Maybe we should take more of the old events and bump it up to 37. Then we can have a special 'Christmas Events' page on the website that people will literally go through and write tl;dr posts about so others won't have to sift through 15 pages of unhelpful events."

Was forced to buy an item ignore skill for pet. Looting all that garbage could kill my laptop again, dood.
