i'm looking for a new lappy
now that college is approaching for me, i need a laptop to go about my business at school and what not.
however, i'd like to do a little gaming on the side.
mostly, i'll be running games like sc 2, portals 2 and the likes.
i live in the US and my budget is around maxed at about 900$ USD.

if i had gotten the xbox, i would have just sold it for money anyways, so the coupon works better for me.

I'm not a console gamer myself, but the HP Envy is totally sick. It's lightweight and compact, but packs enough power to play L4D2/Portal 2 at the maximum settings without a hitch.
in that case, just the 250$ off would technically better since the xbox is only worth 200$. i planned on getting the xbox just so i can get the cost of getting the laptop lower.
