Question about pets

Hey everyone, just a quick question.

Obviously pets are going to be a godsend in reboot, and the pet they give expires quickly.I saw some forum posts about permanent pets, but I have no idea how to get that.

Can anyone explain how to get a perm pet? I don't mind spending the nx if that's what's needed.
