Well, I didn't even receive the big spender reward but 30 reboot coins. Biggest trickery in 10 years in my opinion. Bottom line, this is a game has no real affects in the real world. Just have to realize it's all virtual and spend more time in your real life and get real products.

Heh heh heh... except with Apple, you need to pay for the "sheety" 800 phone, which is a delightful paperweight without a phone and data plan, while Maple Story doesn't actually require you to pay for anything.

See, the service is free. The items paid for with real money are entirely voulentary. You never need to buy anything in game with real money if you don't want to.

"Oh, but if I do that, I'll be weak/suck." I hear you say. Not necissarily. Using events and promotions from the so-called "greedy" Nexon, it is possible to amass a small fortune of items, wait for events that give free Maple Points, hold out for a shop permit sale and easily sell off the collected items for a sudden suge in mesos. Even then, it's entirely possible to never use these Maple Points and earn the items on your own. It may take some time, but it's entirely doable.

"But I can't wait. I need it now." I hear you say. Now who sounds greedy, the company giving out a free service with the option to pay for items with real money, occasionally giving out essentially small gift cards that can be used in place of money, or the person who can't wait for those times and absolutely has to have things now?

The bottom line is that Nexon is a company - they need to profit to remain open. The pay method they give for their product allows people to pay if they want, unlike other companies, like cel phone companies, who require you to pay in order for you to own and use their service. So, in reality, if we were to compare who was "greedier", Nexon would be lower than Apple on the scale... and between both would be the consumer (you). After all, you're getting a free service, but complain you're not getting enough and are making wild accusations like you need to pay the greedy company that is worse than Apple.
