Help on a new Laptop

Hey guys so I'm deciding to finally get a new laptop as mine is starting to get really slow and old on me. I've been using a Sony VAIO VGN-CR13G bought it in 2007 and honestly it's lasted so long and I'm pretty impressed with it in general no problems at all. I was thinking about getting another Viao but as of late I've been looking at HP...I know laptops built noadays aren't really built to last like my old viao but I want something that's pretty good & that could also run MS with no problem any ideas? Not really looking to spend over $800

Answer as many questions as you are willing. The information you provide will narrow down the potential computers I look at.

What country/state do you live in? (for tax and shipping considerations)
Would you like to save money or do you want to spend as much of your budget as possible?
Can you order online? If you cannot order online, what stores are around you?

How much hard drive space do you want?
Do you play any other games or want to play other games?
What other programs do you use?

Do you have a preferred laptop weight?
Do you have a preferred screen size?
Is battery life important?
Why do you need a laptop? To where and how often will it be moved?

Mention any other special requests you may have. Be as detailed as possible

Toshiba, Windows 8, 1 TB HDD, decent AMD Quad Core CPU, decent 1 GB dedicated GPU, 15.6 inch screen for $549 ($50 off). With Ontario's 13% HST, that comes out to roughly $621.

P.S. Nice to see another Torontonian.

Lol my Viao can play ms just fine honestly i'm just getting a new one because it's getting insanely slow....and it really has no specific graphic card....I don't even remember what it even has since it's been so long lmao....I'm not really a fan of ACER but thank you for the input on that HP envy i've been reading a lot of reviews about however it's been said it tends to heat up pretty fast...which is sucky as for the 600 price tag...won't happen I live in Toronto and it's a lil more pricy up here but I like it alot haha also I'm not just getting a laptop cause "it looks cool" use it for school & carry it around as well if that helps any

dont get a laptop just cause it looks cool. i would reccomend getting a laptop with at least 2.5ghz or something that had a turboboost like my laptop which has a base of 2.2ghz and could boost up to 3.2ghz. also get an intel proccesor of i5 or i7 and ram of maybe 4-8gb.
