Does Beta still d/c everyone on the map?
Pretty soon my zero will be 180 and I'm wondering if i'll have to either train solo or use only alpha when in a party.

They fixed that in late December/early January already.
No. Unless the people DC for their own reasons, you will not have to worry about disconnecting them with beta.
