Chain fishing gets you shinies

so this apparently says that if you chain fishing in a certain way, you can get shinies. It's similar to normal chaining but also very diffrent.
Tried it for an hour, broke my chain after 50-75.

I feel like I'm cursed to never find a shiny. Still haven't gotten one except the red gyarados.
You're not alone... xD Played every single pokemon game, never got a shiny aside of that Gyrados and the shiny Dratini you get in W2... @_@

Edit: scrap that! After chain fishing for an hour and a half I caught a Shiny Seadra <3 ... And a Corsola

It was the same in D/P/Plat.

I think the chance of getting a shiny is increased in X and Y.
But in Plat I was able to get 8 different shiny Pokemon because of chaining.
