Demon Slayer - The Chase and the Conspiracy Bug?

I was doing the DS Storyline (80) in Magatia for the quest "The Chase and the Conspiracy", and my game keeps shutting down or crashing everytime I get to the part where Maed said he was going to destroy the Dark Alchemy book on the spot. Is there any way to fix this? I can't find a thread about this.

The map was changed from the quest so I can't enter the lab for Alcadno for another quest...
