If you compared similar funding of a paladin and a hero, heroes would be better. Paladins are good at "easy mode" bossing and not having to dodge many boss attacks.
They're quite good (this coming from a paladin that can solo everything except Dorothy). Other classes lose some DPS from having to dodge certain attacks which paladins don't have to be bothered with. For example, paladins can tank a few CVell tails for funnsies while other classes have to move. At Chaos Vonbon, you can literally take his balls and jump attacks right to the face the entire kill. At Pierre, nothing can kill you... his triple smash doesn't even kill you if you have autopot. At other bosses, eg. emp/Mag, bind works wonders as well.. but with the rush attack nerfed soloing Mag with any of the warriors is much easier. In my opinion, paladins are still a fantastic class at bossing.
They can survive most 1-hit ko moves. If vellum were to hit a paladin with tails and their blast, they can survive base from watching youtube videos of paladins.
dmg hores and bandwagoners obviously think paladins r now "bad" bossers, but if u have bind, threaten, resurrection, combat orders, magic crash, obviously u will have many advantages agaisnt almost all bosses, then a paladin just dont die so easily, even the mighty Cvellum cant kill us with one shot like any other class, so paladin may not have the same attack power thata dk or hero anymore but have many other skills that help the party and the other classes dont have, damage its about funding and there is a damage cap so is up to you in the end.
The fallen gods are now pretty average.... assuming that dpm chart is just exxagerating. If it aint then yeah they terribad, great support skills though, could use a minor buff.
Solo bossing Paladins are average, with a party, they are great considering all their attacks provide great support for the party (threaten, smite, ressurrect, combat orders, para shock guard, magic crash).
Id say like a 6.5/10. They can revive party members, they have a bind, they have a heal, CO is op, they have magic crash, they have god mode for 30 seconds, but their damage is meh and you have to 'rebuff' cause of blast every 45ish seconds (does anyone know if %buff duration effects blast?)

I like to put up the muscle guy aura and dance in front of bosses <3
