Why Fafnir Pole arm not spear?
Why do people recommend dark knights to use the pole arm and not the spear? I recently bought the spear but now I'm wondering if that was the right decision.
Can anyone explain why the pole?

If you want to show off your range. Spear, if you want faster and more DPS (Damage Per Second) Polearm.Polearm is Fast where as Spear is Normal. The one speed setting helps more than you''d think especially with gungnir being their dps thing against bosses now. I juststarted again on my drk. got the polearm. I'm a damage hoar but gotta think smart sometimes. not to say you're dumb for buying the spear. If youre scrolling. You best get that spear to 300 attack to make it just as good/better than a fully scrolled polearm

well, I thought the amount of att the spear had to be higher was lower than 9%, I just remembered wrong. No biggie, cause now I know.

what makes you think a measly 16 attack can offset the speed difference?
yes, saying measly or whole makes all the difference.
Pole arms are sugoi man , Spears are just tacos.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Fafnir Spear a whole 16 att stronger than it's polearm counterpart? Doesn't that offset the speed difference? Again, I might be wrong on this, so feel free to correct me.

Well, as a Dark Knight, we'd sacrifice our companions before ourselves, so that means jack to us.
i like my spear because it's crappy and rare
Mainly because polearms have better re-sale value due to Arans using them as well. Also them swinging faster is a pro over spears.
Cuz Polearms are cool ,i like polearms.
Simply put, attacking faster is better.
